Shri Mahalakshmi Temple (Ambabai Mandir)
The Shri Mahalakshmi Temple, also known as Ambabai Mandir, is a historic Hindu temple in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi (Ambabai). Built around 600–700 A.D. by the Chalukya dynasty, it features stunning Hemadpanti architecture and is one of the 18 Maha Shakti Peethas. The temple is a prominent pilgrimage site, believed to be the abode of the goddess who protects the region.
